Click the Licensing tab.
-
On the left, click the Licenses tab.
-
For the license you want to activate, click Activate.
-
In the Activate License dialog box, enter the required details.
-
Click Activate.
NOTE If activation fails because you do not have an Internet connection, you can request an activation key from QSR International to activate your license—refer to Add and activate server license keys (How to activate if Internet activation fails) for more information.
Consider project locations and backups
Before users connect to the server and start creating and working with NVivo projects, you might want to:
- Decide whether you want to change the default location for new projects—you can choose the location where projects and log files are stored.
- Set up a regular backup schedule so that you can restore projects if necessary.
Give users access to the server
Next, give users access by adding them to appropriate user groups, depending on the permissions they need.
Once users are added to user groups, they can set up a connection to NVivo Server 11 R2 from within the NVivo client and start creating and working with share projects. The NVivo client Help provides instructions for setting up connections. Refer to Provide assistance to NVivo users for tips on helping users who are having difficulty accessing NVivo Collaboration Server or opening server projects.
